“Standard programs” describes the common shape of follow-along workout apps and video libraries — a fixed program delivered the same way to everyone. Individual products vary and change; check their own sites for current features and pricing.

Jinni is guidance, not medical treatment.

Jinni can help you understand and improve everyday movement, but it does not diagnose injuries or replace a physician, physical therapist, or other qualified professional.

Who Jinni is best for

People who want to move better but do not want to be handed the same program as everyone else. If you feel stiff in the morning, are coming back to exercise after a break, or want to hold your balance more confidently, the useful question is not “what is today’s workout” — it is “what does my body actually need today”. Jinni is built to answer that one.

Who may prefer a standard program

If you already train consistently, know your own movement well, and want a structured plan you can follow without a camera pointed at you, a good follow-along program is a perfectly reasonable choice. Jinni asks for a bit of setup — space, framing, permission — and that trade is only worth it if you want the feedback.

Who should work with a professional

Anyone recovering from surgery or a recent injury, in a prescribed rehabilitation program, pregnant or recently postpartum, or managing a significant chronic condition. A qualified professional can see your history and examine you; Jinni can do neither. Where you have professional guidance, follow it.

Why on-device camera analysis matters

A camera is the most direct way to know how someone is actually moving, and it is also the most sensitive thing you can point at yourself at home. Analysing the frames on the device rather than uploading them resolves that tension: Jinni gets the movement data it needs, and your raw workout video is never stored or sent for review. Data that never leaves your phone cannot be breached from a server.

How readiness changes the session

Readiness is not a verdict on your day. It is context — sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, recent activity, and what you tell Jinni yourself — that shifts the focus, the range, or the pace of a session. Lower readiness rarely means doing nothing; more often it means mobility instead of load. That is what keeps a routine going through the weeks when the ideal plan does not fit.
